Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer
Axel est un ancien doctorant en physique théorique de l'École normale supérieure et du CERN. Passionné par l'IA, Axel a été directeur technique de DreamQuark (une start-up dans le domaine de l'assurance) et a cofondé DreamUp Vision (IA dans le domaine de la santé). Il a fondé QuantsUnited et en est maintenant le directeur technique et le directeur général. Il est impliqué dans des projets d'IA en tant que CTO ou CEO dans divers secteurs tels que l'assurance, le trading quantitatif, la santé et les télécommunications.

Jorge Mata
Co-founder, SNL Director
Jorge Mata has joined QuantsUnited in 2021 as CEO and investor. He holds an MS in Physics from Universidad Autonoma (Madrid) and MBA from New York University (NYC). Prior to being entrepreneur Jorge has worked at AT&T & Bell Laboratories, McKinsey&Co, Banco Santander and Broadvision. He founded MyAlert in 1999, a company focused on designing and implementing wireless solutions that he later sold to the Buongiorno group in 2001 for $100 Million. He remained Vice Chairman until Buongiorno went public in 2003 reaching over $700 Million in valuation. He then founded several companies, some of which have been sold to American entities for over $10 Million each. He has invested in more than 20 different start-ups in Silicon Valley and Europe and has been on several of their boards. He was appointed two times technology pioneer by the Davos World Economic Forum in 2001 and 2002.
Ekaterina Besse

Ekaterina holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from CEA. She has written several scientific papers both on Theoretical Particle Physics and on Machine Learning. She has then worked as a Data Scientist at DreamQuark (AI for FinTech) and co-founded DreamUp Vision (AI in Healthcare) whom she was CEO. She has received numerous awards (Challenges Magazine, US SXSW 2016, TheFamily 2015, Monaco 2016, Moscow State University...) and held many speaker positions (Moscow State University, CERN, ...).
Tram Trinh
Co-founder
Entrepreneur, Board Member, former C-level Executive from Fortune 50 to nano caps, with 25+ years of experience across 4 continents. Award winner of Johnson & Johnson Standards of Leadership Awards in 2002 and 2005, EY Audit Alumni France, Vietnam and Cambodia involved in banking and services between 1995 and 1997. Founder of VITANLINK, she has been bringing early stage ventures from the health tech SaaS, IoT and AI fields to post-seed stages by co-founding or co-developing, mentoring and advising founder CEOs (50+ companies). Tram holds an MBA from MGill University in Canada, a US CPA Certified Public Accountant License, the US PDA Certificate in Private Company Governance and the Financial Times NED Diploma. She is a fellow from the American NACD Association.
Scientific Board advisor
Raphael Douady is a French mathematician and economist specialized in Data Science, Financial mathematics, and Chaos Theory. He holds a PhD in Dynamical systems from University Paris Diderot. He also is alumni of Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, was awarded a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiads. Raphael has started his mathematical career in Hamiltonian Dynamics and has then moved to finance driven mathematics. He is now professor at the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne, and he formerly held the Frey Chair of Quantitative Finance at Stony Brook University. He also used to be academic director of the French Laboratory of Excellence on Financial Regulation. He has particular interest in researching portfolio risks, for which he has developed especially suited powerful nonlinear statistical and data science models, as well as macroeconomics and systemic risk. He founded FinTech firms Riskdata (Risk management for the buyside) and Datacore (quantitative portfolio of ETFs) and he was Chief Science Officer at Matrics (AI for the buy-side). Raphael is a member of the Praxis Club, a New York-based think tank advising the French government on its economic policy and sits on the board and the investment committee of friends of IHES, a foundation supporting the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques (the French brother of Princeton IAS).
Christopher Reid
USA Board advisor
Mr. Reid is a seasoned Wall Street Veteran with over 28 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Mr. Reid transitioned from an Equities Trader to Asset Manager and ultimately to a Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley (Sports and Entertainment Division) in NYC. His tenure and his vast experience in the US Financial Markets has allowed him to make connections particularly in raising capital for special VC and Private Equity Situations.
While working in Asset Management Mr. Reid oversaw all equity trading activities for the fund, comprised of over $1.2 Billion in managed assets. He was directly responsible for 100% of automation of order distribution process by utilizing FIX connectivity, In addition to his trading activities he managed all client guidelines with respect to directed trading, soft dollars, and commission recapture programs.
Christopher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting degree from Stockton University, and post-graduate studies in Financial Risk Management and Advanced Technical Analysis from the New York Institute of Finance and New York University School of Continuing Education, respectively.
